We have arrived and taken the last few days to settle in. It is so beautiful and the sunrises are one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Every time I see it in the morning i think of how wonderful our creator is. The colors are so vivid!

The first host house in Johannesburg is very nice! We have a wonderful conference and study lounge, great food made by our Auntie Molline and Auntie Mary, great fellowship and one of the best community of christians I have ever met. Our Aunties make us food throughout the weekdays.

These past few days we have had quite a bit more training sessions to sit through so we know how to properly address topics during ministry. In our free time we have beautiful property to walk on with so many flowers that smell so amazing. Every path to every building is lined with all kinds of flowers!

We have played ball and frisbee with one of the workers daughters. Her name is Loli and is one of the sweetest girls i have ever met. She helped us wash the cars and taught us how to do cartwheels.

This morning we went to African church. There was a beautiful service spoken in English and in Zulu. The pastor switched back and forth between the langues and the translator did the same. The worship service portion was mostly Zulu but involved lots of worship and dancing. It was so beautiful to see everyone worship in there own way.

We start ministry with our community outreach group on Tuesday. Our community outreach be alot of us going door to door in the surrounding communities! While staying here we are partnered with Impact Africa. They have five parts with which they use to impact the community. They have internships and gap years they send out into the community. The second is Impact baby rescue and it consists of helping babies who are abandoned as well as expectant mothers who don’t know what to do. The next is Impact kids and they do school programs for these preschoolers we have in the surrounding communities. Then they have impact students which is mostly High School and some elementary aged. The last is impact mission evangelize where they go out into the community and teach them about Jesus and the difference He can make! I can not wait to go speak to those in the community! Going to African church helped me get a glimpse of what God was going to use us for and I can’t wait to see how it changes all of us for His glory!!

Also, I will be trying to post a blog on Sunday or Monday of each week! But as always, no news is good news!
